Gads Hill Center Celebrates Ninth Annual Portfolio Presentation and Recognition Ceremony

Chicago, IL - On Friday, May 21st, more than 150 students, parents, staff and supporters came together at Gads Hill Center to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of Gads Hill teens at the Ninth Annual Teen Connection Portfolio Presentation & Recognition Ceremony. Throughout the evening, the fellows, as they are called, presented speeches on what they considered to be their greatest accomplishment of the year, and honored the person whose support helped them the most to achieve their goal.
The ceremony featured a moving welcome by Board member Pedro Cevallos-Candau and his wife Pam Brockman. Jorge Cazares, President of the Board of Directors of Gads Hill and a Gads Hill alumnus, delivered the keynote address to the students. He spoke of his memories of Gads Hill and what it means to be a part of the Gads Hill “family.”
High-School senior fellows in the Teen Connection program who met strict grade and attendance requirements received $1500 college scholarships from the Gads Hill Center Scholarship Fund.
