Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford (R) returned to Pilsen this past weekend to celebrate the 10thAnniversary of Pilsen Open Studios. Rutherford made stops at Colby Gallery and the gallery at La Casa and met with featured artists and local business owner Emma Villareal from Smarty Pants.  

Rutherford also met with Raul Raymundo, Chief Executive Officer of the Resurrection Project and with Mark Sussman Chairman of the Executive Committee of Greater Pilsen Economic Development Association to discuss the needs of local businesses, and become more ingrained in Pilsen community.
