We’re Mike and Tiffany, collectors and lovers of all things mid-century modern design, re-claimed / re-purposed and vintage. Together we mix the old and new, the high and low, the fun and the serious. We love nothing more than to hit the open road with our tiny doggie and search for great finds for the home. Maybe it’s a vintage camera as a decorative piece for your bookshelf, a mid-century modern credenza or nightstand or a set of 1950’s ping pong paddles to hang on your wall. We opened Modern Co-op in Pilsen because community means a great deal to us. We’ve called Pilsen home for a number of years and are thrilled to be a part of the diverse and ever-growing neighborhood. Modern Cooperative participates monthly in the Chicago Arts District 2nd Friday open studios. We feature 2 local artists each month who design and create using re-purposed materials as well as a hand-picked selection of Mid-Century Modern furniture and home accessories. Tiffany’s background includes work in graphic design, art direction, marketing, brand management, and her own brand on Etsy. She’s very passionate about animal rescue and volunteers her time with homeless animals hoping they all soon find loving homes. You’ll often find her riding around town on her pink Dutch bike, which she calls Pinky Tuscadero. Mike’s background includes sales, retail, graphic design, marketing and photography. Mike loves to sail Lake Michigan and go on bike rides with Tiffany on their Dutch bikes.
