Working Bikes Cooperative is a nonprofit organization which diverts bicycles from the waste stream by refurbishing them for sale in our store front. The revenue from these sales enable us to fulfill our mission of shipping bicycles to developing countries in Central America, South America and Africa.

Over the past 10 years, we have sent thousands of bicycles to countries where a bicycle can significantly change a person's life. Bicycles are used to provide employment, enable people to travel to attend school or receive medical attention, and as alternative sources of energy through the creation of bike machines.

Working Bikes is primarily volunteer-driven. Volunteers are needed for help fixing bikes, running the store front, preparing and packing bicycles for shipments, and for general help around the warehouse.
