Active Minds and Patient People Needed to Counsel Tenants!

Are You Interested In:

Preventing Homelessness

Helping others?

Being an advocate for social justice?

Learning about tenant/landlord laws and issues?

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Listen to tenant issues
  • Assist callers in developing a strategy to solve their problem
  • Refer tenants to appropriate agencies
  • Send out written materials to callers
  • Maintain knowledge of current laws
  • Learn updates as new laws are passed
  • Identify potential supporters

Availability:

  • Volunteer shifts are available between 1-5pm Monday-Friday

10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Location: 2150 S. Canalport, Suite2B2 (on the corner of Cermak and Canalport, just West of Cermak and Halsted, if using the #21Cermak bus you will get off at Morgan (NOT Canal St)
